Buy Google One (Google Drive) with the Cheapest Price

1. What is Google One Subscription?

All of us heard about Google Drive, storage, and something like that, but one struggling is the limited space Google gives us to use.

Google One is a subscription that gives you more storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. With Google One, you can get plenty of space for your photos, videos, files, email attachments, and more.

2. Price Differentiation and the “Legit” Trick

It sounds very interesting with the advantages of these Subscriptions, but its plans might not be suitable for use in some countries.

Luckily, through some research, I found that Google One has different prices among countries in the world, and which country is the cheapest. So, I’ve also prepared a guide to help you get the best deal on your cloud storage.

Understanding these variations can give us, and might be our company,  savings money, especially if we usually use cloud storage, and need extensive storage space.

3. The cheapest country for Google One?

Through my research, I found that Turkey has the cheapest Google One plans. I concluded this after using a VPN to spoof my location and test various countries. 

I started by checking out the prices for the US and Vietnam, then I checked the prices in Japan, and stopped in Turkey:

I tried out a few other countries, but none had plan prices as low as Turkey’s.

4. Purchase: How to Use a VPN to Save Money?

Since VPNs mask your IP address, you can trick Google One into thinking you’re purchasing its subscription plans from another country. And in this case, we want to spoof our location to Turkey. I have used NordVPN with the trial version to do this.

• Step 1: Open the VPN connection to Turkey
• Step 2: Clean cache or use a clean browser session (incognito tab recommended)
• Step 3: Optional: we can register a new Google account for a higher chance of success
• Step 4: Go to https://one.google.com, and if we see the price is displayed in Turkey currency, then we can perform the next steps to choose and register this plan

Choose a subscription plan and payment address

It would be completed smoothly if you already have either a gift card or a Turkish debit/credit card. But what if we didn’t have one?

• Pre-condition: you must have a debit/credit card (any country)
• Step 1: Choose the plan and add the payment method here
• Step 2: Choose the fake city/address of Turkey (and the postal code also) here
• Step 3: Submit the card information with the above fake address (like below)
  
  

Finally, you can submit the details and OTP to make the first payment and finalize your Google One subscription plan purchase, with Turkey’s price.

5. Extended Services and Potential Issues

✅ This trick also could work with other services rather than only Google Drive, and Google Images. You can use Turkey’s VPN to purchase the cheaper YouTube Premium, Netflix, etc,..

But it’s not always successful, after 2-3 tries, I only have a 30% success rate (1 account). This happened mostly because your IP or your Google account was banned due to suspicious actions previously, or the network connection, bad credit information, etc,.. (you might need a clean account and retry several times).

*Potential Issues:

After purchasing successfully, we might encounter some issues about the subscription volition later (might be 1-2 weeks, or after we did some suspicious action in our account), below is the list and how to avoid or deal with this:

• Case 1: Switch the Google account regions to frequent, this easily makes our account be banned because the credit information is already not correct and we don’t want Google to check this too much.
• Case 2: Sharing the Google storage for non-Turkey accounts also could cause the termination of our plan (so we might want to avoid this, and avoid using the Family features on Google One)
• Case 3: Make sure your credit/debit card has enough balance for the purchase (for monthly or annual plans) since a bad credit history also could make Google re-check your card information and terminate your account due to the fake address we used above.
